What is included in your £150 Self Assessment Tax Return service?

Our £150 flat fee includes preparation and submission of your Self Assessment tax return, HMRC agent support, review of reliefs and allowances, secure digital portal access and basic tax advice.

How long does it take to complete my tax return?

Accepted Answer

We aim to complete most standard tax returns within 48 hours once we have received all of the information and documents we need from you. More complex returns, missing information or periods of exceptionally high demand may take longer. We will keep you informed if we need anything further from you.

How do I send my documents to you?

Accepted Answer

You can upload your documents securely through our online booking and document-upload process. Typical documents include P60s, P45s, CIS statements, income and expense records, rental statements, dividend information and bank interest certificates. If we need anything else after reviewing your information, we will contact you.

Is the £150 fee really all I pay?

Accepted Answer

The £150 fee covers our standard Self Assessment Tax Return service. If your return involves work outside the standard service - for example additional or specialist calculations, extensive bookkeeping, prior-year amendments or other complex matters - we will tell you what is required and agree any additional fee with you before that extra work begins. There are no unexpected additional charges.

When is the deadline for filing my tax return?

For most people filing an online Self Assessment tax return, the filing deadline is 31 January following the end of the relevant tax year. Tax due under Self Assessment is normally also payable by 31 January, and some taxpayers may have a payment on account due on 31 July. Your exact obligations can depend on your circumstances, so we will flag relevant dates when preparing your return.

Will you deal with HMRC on my behalf?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Once the appropriate HMRC authorisation is in place, we can act as your agent in relation to the Self Assessment work you have engaged us to complete. This allows us to communicate with HMRC about relevant matters concerning your return. You remain responsible for ensuring the information supplied to us is complete and accurate and for approving the return before submission.

Can you help if I have rental income or multiple properties?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We can prepare Self Assessment returns that include UK property income. Our standard service can cover straightforward rental income within the scope stated when you book. If you have multiple properties, more complex property arrangements or additional calculations are required, an additional fee may apply. We will confirm this with you before carrying out any extra work.

Do you only work with UK residents?

Accepted Answer

No. We may be able to assist clients who are non-UK resident or who have overseas income, depending on the circumstances. International tax and residence issues can be more complex than a standard UK Self Assessment return, so we will review the information you provide and let you know if specialist or additional work is required before proceeding.

What if I need help after my tax return has been filed?

Accepted Answer

You can contact us if you have a question about the tax return we prepared for you or correspondence relating to that return. Basic follow-up support relating directly to our work is included. If you need substantial additional work, a new calculation, an amendment or advice outside the original engagement, we will explain any additional fee before proceeding.

Can you help me if I've missed a tax return?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If you have missed a filing deadline or have outstanding tax returns, we can help you get your Self Assessment affairs up to date. HMRC may charge penalties and interest for late filing or late payment, so it is usually best to deal with an overdue return as soon as possible. We can prepare the outstanding return and, where appropriate, help you understand the next steps.
